Glass Vinyl Graphics — Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to:
- the Glass Vinyl Graphics website at glassvinylgraphics.com.au;
- the Glass Vinyl Graphics online shop at shop.glassvinylgraphics.com.au;
- quote requests, artwork uploads and enquiry forms;
- orders placed through the online shop, by email or following a written quotation; and
- all custom vinyl products supplied by Glass Vinyl Graphics.
By placing an order, accepting a quotation, approving an artwork proof or submitting payment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer right, guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
2. Quotes and Orders
Submitting a quote request does not create an obligation for either party to proceed with an order.
After reviewing your wording, measurements, artwork, photographs and other information, we may:
- provide a quotation;
- request more information;
- advise that artwork needs to be simplified or redrawn;
- recommend a different finished size, material or layout; or
- decline the work.
A quotation is valid for the period stated in the quotation.
An order is accepted when:
- you approve the final quotation and artwork proof where applicable;
- you agree to these Terms and Conditions; and
- full payment has been received.
For products purchased directly through the online shop, an order is accepted when we confirm that the order can be produced.
If we cannot accept or complete an order after payment has been received, we will contact you and refund the amount paid for the product that cannot be supplied.
3. Prices, GST and Payment
All consumer prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST unless clearly stated otherwise.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown during checkout or included in your written quotation before payment.
We accept major credit and debit cards through Stripe and any other payment methods displayed at checkout.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Glass Vinyl Graphics does not store or have access to customers’ full credit or debit card details.
Customised products must be paid for in full before production begins.
Payment of a quotation confirms that you wish us to manufacture the product according to the approved order details and artwork proof.
4. Customer Information and Measurements
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate:
- names and contact details;
- delivery details;
- wording, spelling, punctuation and telephone numbers;
- measurements;
- colour selections;
- application instructions;
- artwork files; and
- information about the surface where the vinyl will be applied.
Please check all wording carefully. We may copy and reproduce the wording exactly as supplied.
Measurements must be supplied in millimetres unless another measurement unit is clearly stated.
The customer is responsible for allowing enough clear space around the vinyl graphic or lettering. For example, an 800 mm-wide design should not be ordered for an area that is exactly 800 mm wide.
We may offer general guidance about sizing, but the customer remains responsible for confirming that the approved finished size will fit the intended area.
If information supplied by the customer is incomplete, unclear or appears incorrect, we may place the order on hold while seeking clarification.
5. Customer-Supplied Artwork and Copyright Permission
When uploading or supplying any logo, design, drawing, photograph, silhouette, image, font, stock image, artwork or other material, you confirm that:
- you created and own the material; or
- you have received permission from the copyright owner or other rights holder to use and reproduce it; and
- you have any licence required for commercial reproduction as a custom vinyl product.
Your permission must cover any necessary production work, including:
- reproducing the artwork;
- resizing it;
- tracing or vectorising it;
- simplifying fine details;
- joining or enlarging small sections;
- converting it into a single-colour design;
- preparing an artwork proof; and
- cutting and manufacturing the approved vinyl graphic.
You grant Glass Vinyl Graphics a limited, non-exclusive permission to use the supplied material only as reasonably necessary to:
- assess your quote request;
- communicate with you about the design;
- prepare cutting files and artwork proofs;
- manufacture your order;
- resolve questions or complaints concerning the order; and
- retain reasonable business and production records.
You confirm that the supplied material does not unlawfully infringe another person’s copyright, trade mark, registered design, moral rights or other intellectual-property rights.
This includes artwork obtained from:
- stock-image websites;
- internet searches;
- social-media platforms;
- another designer;
- a previous signwriter or printer;
- another business;
- AI image-generation services; or
- any source where ownership or commercial reproduction rights may belong to someone else.
Finding an image online does not, by itself, mean that the image is free to reproduce commercially.
Glass Vinyl Graphics is entitled to rely on the permission declaration made by the customer. Copyright protection in Australia generally arises automatically when original work is created, and third-party material may require the owner’s permission before it is reproduced.
To the extent permitted by law, the customer is responsible for reasonable losses, costs or third-party claims incurred by Glass Vinyl Graphics because:
- the customer did not own the supplied material;
- the customer did not have the required permission or licence;
- the customer supplied inaccurate information about ownership or permission; or
- manufacturing the requested product infringed another party’s rights because of the material supplied by the customer.
This responsibility does not extend to loss caused by Glass Vinyl Graphics’ own unauthorised use, negligence or misconduct.
We may refuse, pause or cancel an order if we reasonably believe that supplied material:
- may infringe another person’s rights;
- contains unlawful or prohibited content;
- falsely represents another business or organisation;
- cannot be reproduced at a suitable standard; or
- is otherwise inappropriate for us to manufacture.
Where an order is cancelled for these reasons, any refund will take account of reasonable design, artwork or production work already completed.
We will not use customer-supplied artwork or photographs for unrelated advertising or public display without the customer’s permission.
6. Artwork Preparation and Design Changes
Cut vinyl graphics are different from printed stickers.
The design itself is cut from solid-coloured vinyl. There is no printed clear or coloured background surrounding the graphic unless expressly included in the product description or quotation.
To make artwork suitable for cutting and installation, we may need to:
- remove very fine details;
- enlarge narrow lines;
- join loose or isolated sections;
- simplify intricate shapes;
- adjust spacing;
- convert colours to a single-colour silhouette; or
- recommend a larger finished size.
Where additional artwork preparation or redrawing is required, we will advise you of any additional cost before proceeding.
Unless specifically included in the quotation, purchasing a vinyl graphic does not transfer ownership of our production-ready vector or cutting file to the customer.
7. Artwork Proofs and Customer Approval
Where an artwork proof is supplied, you must carefully check:
- wording and spelling;
- punctuation;
- telephone numbers and web addresses;
- overall layout;
- approximate proportions;
- finished dimensions;
- vinyl colour;
- orientation;
- whether the graphic must be cut in reverse; and
- any other order instructions.
Production will not begin until the required proof has been approved and payment has been received.
Approval of the artwork proof confirms that you accept the design as shown, subject to ordinary manufacturing tolerances.
Once an approved custom product has entered production, alterations may not be possible.
If the finished product matches the approved proof and order information, we are not responsible for customer-supplied spelling errors, incorrect measurements, incorrect contact details or design choices that were visible in the approved proof.
This does not apply where Glass Vinyl Graphics manufactures a product that does not match the approved artwork, selected colour, dimensions or written order instructions.
8. Vinyl Colours and Manufacturing Tolerances
Colours displayed on computer screens, phones, printed proofs and photographs may vary from the appearance of the physical vinyl.
Screen settings, lighting, photography and surrounding surface colours can affect how a colour appears.
Where an exact colour match is important, please ask whether a physical vinyl colour sample is available before approving the order.
Minor variations may occur in:
- colour between different vinyl batches;
- positioning;
- dimensions;
- spacing;
- trimming; and
- alignment.
These variations will not be considered defects where they are reasonable for a custom-cut and hand-finished product and do not materially affect its intended use.
9. Production Times
Most products are made to order.
Any production or dispatch time provided is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date unless we expressly agree in writing to a guaranteed date.
Production time begins after:
- payment has cleared;
- all required information has been received; and
- the final artwork proof has been approved where applicable.
Orders may take longer where:
- complex artwork preparation is required;
- information is missing;
- the customer requests changes;
- suitable vinyl is temporarily unavailable;
- the order is unusually large; or
- circumstances outside our reasonable control affect production.
We will take reasonable steps to advise you of any material delay.
10. Delivery Address
The customer must provide a correct name and complete delivery address where the parcel can be safely delivered or accepted.
Glass Vinyl Graphics is not responsible for additional delivery expenses caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
If a parcel is returned to us because:
- the address was incorrect;
- the parcel was not collected;
- delivery was refused; or
- the customer could not be contacted,
the customer may be required to pay the reasonable cost of redelivery.
We will contact the customer before charging any redelivery amount.
11. Dispatch and Delivery
Orders are normally delivered through Australia Post or another delivery provider selected by Glass Vinyl Graphics.
Tracking details will be supplied where tracking is included with the delivery service.
Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Delays may occur because of weather, transport disruptions, peak delivery periods, regional delivery schedules or other matters outside our direct control.
However, Glass Vinyl Graphics remains responsible for dealing with the customer as the seller. If an order is substantially delayed, lost or damaged during delivery, please contact us so that we can investigate the matter with the delivery provider and arrange an appropriate solution.
12. Damaged Parcels
Please inspect the parcel and its contents as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If the packaging or product appears damaged, please retain:
- the vinyl product;
- all packaging;
- the postal tube, envelope or box;
- any labels; and
- photographs showing the damage.
Contact us promptly and provide clear photographs so we can assess the issue and make any necessary delivery claim.
Do not discard the product or packaging until we advise that it is no longer required.
Failure to report damage promptly may make a carrier investigation more difficult, but it does not remove any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Installation
Vinyl graphics must be installed on a clean, smooth and suitable surface.
Before installation, the customer is responsible for checking that:
- the surface is suitable for adhesive vinyl;
- the surface is clean and dry;
- there is no wax, oil, silicone, dust or cleaning residue;
- fresh paint or coatings have fully cured;
- the vinyl is correctly positioned;
- the instructions have been read; and
- weather conditions are suitable for outdoor installation.
Glass Vinyl Graphics is not responsible for damage caused by:
- incorrect installation;
- failing to follow supplied instructions;
- installing vinyl on an unsuitable surface;
- wrinkles, folding or stretching caused during installation;
- allowing the vinyl to twist or blow in the wind;
- applying the graphic at an incorrect angle;
- excessive handling of the adhesive;
- lifting and repeatedly repositioning the vinyl;
- using harsh chemicals or solvents; or
- damage caused after successful delivery.
If the product was faulty before installation, please stop and contact us before attempting to apply it.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility where the problem was caused by a defect in the product or by incorrect instructions supplied by Glass Vinyl Graphics.
14. Vinyl Life and Aftercare
Outdoor-rated vinyl may have an expected manufacturer lifespan of approximately five to seven years under suitable conditions.
This is an expected performance range and not a guarantee that every installation will last for a specific number of years.
Actual lifespan may be affected by:
- vinyl type and colour;
- direct sunlight and UV exposure;
- heat;
- coastal or industrial conditions;
- surface preparation;
- installation quality;
- cleaning methods;
- abrasion;
- chemicals;
- pressure washing; and
- physical damage.
Clean installed vinyl with warm, mild soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge.
Do not:
- use solvents or harsh chemicals;
- scrub aggressively;
- use abrasive pads;
- direct high-pressure water at the edges; or
- pick at or deliberately lift the vinyl edges.
15. Changes and Cancellations
Because our products are customised, please contact us immediately if you need to change or cancel an order.
Before artwork or production work begins
Where no artwork preparation or production work has begun, we will generally cancel the order and refund the amount paid.
Any amount retained will be limited to reasonable, non-recoverable costs already incurred in processing the individual order.
After artwork preparation begins
If design, tracing, vectorising or artwork preparation has begun, we may deduct the reasonable value of the work already completed before issuing any refund.
We will explain any deduction.
After production begins
Once vinyl has been cut, weeded, masked or otherwise manufactured for the customer, the order normally cannot be cancelled or changed.
If requested, we may stop dispatch where practical. Any possible refund will depend on the stage reached and the reasonable costs already incurred.
We will not impose an automatic cancellation fee that is unrelated to the actual work or costs associated with the order.
16. Change-of-Mind Returns
Our products are personalised and manufactured specifically for each customer.
We do not accept returns or provide refunds merely because the customer:
- changed their mind;
- selected the wrong colour;
- supplied incorrect wording;
- supplied incorrect measurements;
- approved an unsuitable size;
- no longer requires the product; or
- found a cheaper alternative.
This change-of-mind policy does not affect rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied products.
17. Faulty or Incorrect Products
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Please contact us if a product:
- was faulty when supplied;
- arrived damaged;
- does not match the approved artwork or order;
- was supplied in the wrong vinyl colour;
- was cut in the wrong orientation;
- is materially different from its description; or
- is otherwise not of acceptable quality.
Depending on the nature of the problem and the requirements of the Australian Consumer Law, the available remedy may include:
- repair;
- replacement;
- re-manufacture;
- refund; or
- another appropriate solution agreed with the customer.
Where a problem is minor, Glass Vinyl Graphics may choose to repair, replace or otherwise correct the problem within a reasonable time.
Where there is a major problem, the customer may be entitled to choose between an appropriate replacement and a refund.
Consumers are generally not entitled to a remedy where they received what they ordered but changed their mind, or where they caused the problem through misuse.
Please contact us before returning any product.
Where a product is confirmed to be faulty or incorrectly supplied, we will arrange or reimburse reasonable return-postage costs where required.
Unauthorised returns or cash-on-delivery parcels may be refused where no prior return arrangement has been made.

- inaccurate information supplied by the customer;
- customer-approved spelling or layout errors;
- incorrect measurements;
- an unsuitable installation surface;
- incorrect installation;
- failure to follow care instructions;
- unauthorised alteration of the product;
- normal wear and environmental exposure; or
- use of the product for a purpose we were not told about and could not reasonably anticipate.
This clause applies only to the extent that the customer’s act or omission caused or contributed to the loss.
It does not exclude liability for loss caused by our own failure to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, negligence or unlawful conduct.
24. Events Outside Reasonable Control
We will not be responsible for a delay caused by an event outside our reasonable control where we have taken reasonable steps to avoid or minimise the effect of that event.
Such events may include:
- natural disasters;
- fire;
- flood;
- severe weather;
- widespread transport disruption;
- postal-service interruption;
- power or internet outages;
- government restrictions;
- industrial disputes; or
- sudden unavailability of essential materials.
We will contact affected customers where reasonably practical and discuss revised timeframes or other available options.
Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
25. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The terms applying to an order will normally be the version published or provided when that order was placed, unless a change is required by law or is agreed with the customer.
Changes will not be applied retrospectively in a way that unfairly removes an existing customer right.
26. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
27. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applying in Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.
The parties submit to the courts and tribunals having jurisdiction in Western Australia, subject to any legal right a consumer may have to bring a claim elsewhere.
